Measuring Life

Life is short, make every moment count.

One of my favorite quotes says, “life is not measured by the number of breathes we take, but by the by the moments that take our breath away.”

I lost my mom to Stage IV at the age of 10 and had two younger siblings who were 7 and 3 years old.  I remember going to a chemo session with her and reading magazines and laughing. Her laugh made everyone in the room laugh.

I remember a lot of other times such as the day she went to the hospital because she was so sick… the day she was diagnosed… These are days you usually don’t want to remember but I hold on to every memory I have like its my last one.

One important thing I learned is to get regular check ups. And I advise every woman out there do to it as well. I always wonder if my mom would still be here if we caught it earlier.

Don’t take any time for granted.

And stay strong, because miracles DO happen.

Life is short, make every moment count.
